AB Auto-Grind build

This is a guide you can follow until about 130, high defence - medium attack, perfect for auto battle over night.

Stats

Put every point into STR, you will get your dex via passives.

Skills

1st Job

Soul Shooter Mastery +30 points (MAX)
Beautiful Soul +20 points (MAX)
Affinity +10 points (Needed as prereq)
Great Affinity +10 points (Needed as prereq)

2nd Job

Greater Affinity +10 points (MAX)
Love me heart +10 points (Needed as prereq)

3rd Job

Soul Shooter Expert +30 points (MAX)
Greatest Affinity +30 points (MAX)

After this you can put points into whatever you prefer, this is an AUTO GRIND build and it will only get you to about 130 safely. After that, be sure to restat/respec to one of the other builds here in the forums.

Equipment
1. First priority is to get a +3 ring for HP recovery, search the tips section for a how to.
2. Armor: Your main focus here is going to be anything that gives higher DEF
3. Weapons: For weapons, if you can manage to get a hold of HP STEAL, that would be ideal.

Where to Grind
Usually the hidden streets are pretty good for us. Sometimes it's best to find a mob that drops marks of honor for your guild. At any rate, watch it AFK for a little while. If it seems like it can go to higher mobs.. it most likely can. Also pay attention to make sure the auto battle doesn't mess up. There are a lot of maps with pathing issues. Off topic, this is a good way to make mesos as well. Aqua road is about the only milestone that really sucks for us. I recommend Staying in ludi on the highest mobs you can grind until you can't grind any longer. Then quest through aqua road as quickly as possible and finishing pianus so that you can move on. Aqua road is notoriously bad for every class due to the swimming aspect, even worse for us because auto battle will never try and avoid traps.

This a probably a stupid question but what is the purpose of the Greatest Affinity (3rd job) skill and what is recharge (for ABs)?

It gives you a bit of a dps boost, depending on whether you get a recharge or not.

ABs do not have mp, and the skills can be used whenever you recharge. Except for skills in the Roar skill line.

Does this mean when you recharge, you shoot a bit faster?

When you recharge, you have a 10% chance of getting a 10% attack buff for 5 seconds. Only really useful in an afk build.
