DS vs Kaiser?

Since they seem to be fairly similar, which one is better overall? Demon Slayer or Kaiser?

I'm trying to decide which to use for my Soldier class character.

Auto Battle- Demon Slayer: So much passives
VS Bosses- Demon Slayer: Demon Impact
Buffs- Kaiser: No need to explain
Travelling vertically- Kaiser: Vertical Connect

How do you share equipment? They're different genders.

So DS is better for both AC and bossing, guess I'll go with that. I'm basically trying to pick one character for each type of class. Luminous (Magician), Mercedes (Archer), Dual Blade (Thief), Shade (Pirate), and I guess Demon Slayer for Soldier.

Sometimes an equipment has a Common for gender, meaning it can apply to Male and Female. Other times, it says <class> exclusive. So I share soldier equipment when it's common gender and not exclusive to any class (I call them Universal Equipment)

I agree with this,

DS has 2 very nice semi-mob high damage skills: Raven Storm and Demon impact. Which when used in combination with each other make a DS nearly unkillable and able to dish out lots of damage to mobs and bosses.
Unfortunately, the skillbuild needed for this doesn;t allow for any AoE skills.

KS on the other hand has no real specific bossing skill, but has very nice buffs and a wide scala of mobbing 'wear down' semi AoE skills.
KS focusses a lot on offense.

Both KS and DS are very durable, the only difference being that: DS's hit faster and have more hits and reach in their combo, KS's hit harder, but slower. DS's can deal more small mob/single target damage, whilst KS's focus more on wearing down the entire map.

As for now I like DS better, but KS is a close second.

I started leveling DS earlier, left it autoing in Ludi while I slept so I'm 40 now. The build I've decided on is...

Battle Pact - 5

2nd Job
Vengeance - 5
Dark Thrust - 10
Dark Focus - 40

3rd Job
Black-Hearted Strength - 20
Raven Storm - 40
Focused Fury - 40

4th Job
Demon Impact - 40
Dark Metamorphosis - 30
Advanced Weapon Mastery - 30

I've got 2 points left, I'll probably shove them in one of the Demon Slash Enhancements at the end just so I don't have the "+Skill" button on screen all the time.

@Delsephine, not to sound like a know it all, but I think you're going to regret not putting points in DSA, it's kind of a mandatory passive for both playstyles. I'm guessing this is for manual play?

What is DSA? I looked at my skills and none of them have that acronym. Are you talking about Demon Slash Enhancement? Aren't I going to be using skills most of the time?

And yes, it's for manual play. I auto sometimes, but not often because my tablet gets hot when I leave it on all night.

I'm going to assume you meant the Demon Slash Enhancements, and even though I'll have to start over to change my current skills, it shouldn't take long to get back to my level.

This leaves 7 points, I figure I'll max Shadow Swiftness.

Personally, I would max focused fury over taking Demon Slash.
I'm up to MK on my DS but I never took Demon Slash.
My only regret with DS is equipping all the soldier rares. xD

Blargh. Now I don't know what to do. Stick with the first build and swap Dark Metamorphosis for Obsidian Skin, or go with the second one and get Demon Slash Enhancements.

There's never enough to get everything you want.

I'm still figuring out what to do with my DS (once I get back to it).
I've maxed DI, AWM and FF.

Well since you're going to play manually, demon slash might not nescessarily be of highest priority and obsidian skin might not be as well.

You need to focus your build on doing as much damage as possible to mobs.

I've decided to go with the second build listed above which includes Demon Slash, that way I can both play manually and auto, depending on my mood.
